In honour of my dear friend Maureen: Remembering it is exactly one year ago that she left us for heaven and in her memory I continue Maureen’s legacy of kindness and generosity in helping St Martin-in-the-Fields Charity to help the homeless. Jesus said: “Foxes have dens and birds have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head.” Luke 9:58 (NIV). Thank you Maureen for being such an excellent example of the compassion and love of Christ. A.V. x

I was Mo's line manager at Oak Hill and the way in which we diligently went about her role, was focused on every penny (couldn't even convince her to have a new keyboard, despite it having sticky labels to identify many of the worn out keys!), and continually supported me and others, is just a small example of what a good and faithful servant of the Lord she was. Even when she told me about moving to Devon, she so worried about letting us down, and I just remember telling her that "God has got this", even if we don't fully understand all the moving parts. She is finally with her Lord and saviour, and I'm just privileged to have known her and to have seen Jesus in her.
